Active Week 2022

Knockainey National School

We had a fantastic week for Active week 2022 at Knockainey National School. We began the week with Active Walks around the parish. Getting our steps up and taking part in walking challenges.

Our 3rd to 5th Class took the younger classes for Active Stations on Monday doing games such as basketball, penalty shootout, tug of war and hit the target challenges.

On Tuesday we had our GAA Coach Callan and worked on our footballing skills. The children loved this. Our 6th class worked with our younger classes for a welly throwing competition and a game of capture the flag.

On Wednesday we had a visit from the victorious u14 Girls Football winning Team. The girls beat Feoghanagh-Castlemahon 2-5 to 1-4 in the Final.

Well done girls!

It was lovely to have the girls in to show off their trophy. They were an inspiration to all the children in the school. It was lovely to see some past pupils returning with silver wear.

We have had such an incredible year in school. The children have taken part in so many activities and sports. The engagement from all has been excellent. Onwards and upwards for next year.
